KVE Series Keystone Jacks

Among HCI's range of 90-degree keystone jacks, the KVE Series stands out for its unique free-directional cable-routing mechanism designed to accommodate extremely confined spaces. At first glance, this mechanism may seem straightforward - simply cutting a "U" shape from the top and bottom. However, the reality is a bit more complex. While this approach appears simple, it must overcome challenges such as size constraints and the reduced PCB space available for compensating unwanted signals induced during RJ-45 mating. How did HCI tackle these challenges? Delve into the details in the upcoming articles.

Patented Transmission Design
Similar to other 90-degree keystone jacks from HCI, the KVE Series also utilizes US patent 9391405B1 for its Impedance-Matching Technique. This patent-protected lead-frame design is intricately engineered to generate an equal electromagnetic field, allowing compensation to occur across different stages despite a significant cut area that occupies approximately one-third of the space initially intended for offsetting reverse-end coupling.
Alien Crosstalk is a "MUST”for Cat 6A
The design mentioned above helps counteract internal crosstalk, while the unique contact array and IDC deployment mitigate alien crosstalk in the KVE Series. Because the KVE Series is Component-Rated, it can be utilized in various scenarios as long as they adhere to standard regulations. This is particularly significant given that many manufacturers struggle to pass the six-around-one configuration with four connectors in a shortened (24 m) channel.
Certified Quality
Have you ever wondered why there's such a wide pricing range for a passive network part? There are many hidden but crucial costs to consider. For example, are you truly getting Cat 6A quality? Is there anyone ensuring the product's authenticity? Here's a tip: Only Component-Rated performance can stand the test of time. Additionally, having an ongoing valid certificate for the specific model, such as the KVE Series, can protect you from potential risks.
All 4 Pairs for Power
As PoE technology evolves, now Modular Plug Terminated Link (MPTL) supports 4PPoE remote power delivery. It's crucial not to overlook the PoE compliance of the connectivity used in MPTL setups; otherwise, insufficient power can lead to device malfunctions if Class 8 isn't detected at the PD end. The KVE series stands out for its IEC 60512-99-002 PoE connectivity certification, with part numbers always available in Intertek's verified directory.
3-way cable routing
In certain traditional residential neighborhoods, there is often limited space available behind walls. This is where the KVE Series proves invaluable. Sometimes, all it takes is a slightly smaller jack size to complete an installation, leaving you wishing for a shorter jack to get the job done right away. With the KVE Series, you get a 3-way cable routing option, allowing cables to be routed upward, downward, or straight through as per the specific requirements of the environment.
Here it comes: EZ Terminator
If there were a tool that allowed you to terminate a keystone jack in just 45 seconds, I believe you'd keep it with you for every job. That's exactly what HCI is aiming for. UTP Cat 6A cables have thicker and stiffer insulated conductors compared to Cat 6 cables, which also urge the needs for simplified termination methods. With all the features packed into the KVE Series, it definitely needs a specialized tool to ensure the terminations are done neatly and efficiently.
Made in Taiwan
We're proud of the KVE Series' craftsmanship, made in Taiwan with meticulous care to showcase our expertise and commitment to quality. In a market filled with mixed-and-match structured cabling solutions, ensuring that each connectivity adheres strictly to standard regulations is essential for guaranteeing solid installations and high-end transmission quality. HCI aims for precision and reliability above all else.
