Modular Plug Terminated Link (MPTL) means that a jack is terminated at one end, a field terminable plug is terminated at the other end.

MPTL is getting more and more common in some cutting-edge site projects. Conventionally you need to pull both data and power cable if you want to install a WiFi AP or surveillance camera in remote space. Now thanks to PoE technology, we only need to have one data cable to carry both data and power. In a way, PoE further push the needs of MPTL in buildings. Because now we can directly plug-in a WiFi AP or surveillance camera without the needs to install a keystone jack + faceplate + patch cord COMBO.

Unshielded Field Termination Plug features intuitive termination process. It supports 4PPoE Class 8 power level that carries 90W PSE to 71.3W PD over four twisted pairs. HCI 88TK series are also qualified for IEC 60512-99-002 to ensure the endurance of mating cycles under electrical load compatible to IEEE 802.3bt requirements.
