The HCI Straight Type Field Termination Plug is available in two series: the 88TSK series and the 88TS52G series.
The 88TSK series offers a unique feature with an exclusive US-patented "U-Shape" magnet-like wire organizer designed to accommodate insulated conductors. This innovative feature ensures that the two pairs are threaded towards the front while the other two pairs are laid on both sides. This arrangement helps prevent pairs from overlapping each other and maintains the folding of the foil on the Green pair and Blue pair all the way up to the piercing point.
The 88TS52G series follows a wiring approach known as two-pair ahead, two-pair behind geometry. This method provides a straightforward and traditional wire-alignment technique that is similar to the modular plug wiring arrangements. It ensures a consistent and familiar approach to wire alignment, facilitating reliable connections.
Both series deliver outstanding Cat 6A transmission performance. Whether the plug is utilized in a Modular Plug Terminated Link (MPTL) configuration or assembled as a field Patch Cord, it consistently exceeds the standard specified limits, providing a generous margin of performance.
In MPTL applications, where a jack or panel is terminated at the equipment end and the Field Termination Plug is terminated at a remote location, both series of plugs have demonstrated compliance with PoE Type 4 standards. They are capable of efficiently delivering 90W of power from the Power Sourcing Equipment (PSE) to the Powered Device (PD) with a received power of 71.3W, aligning with the requirements of IEEE 802.3bt Class 8.
