At HCI, we’re always finding ways to make our manufacturing greener. Over the years, we’ve cut down on energy use, reduced material waste, sped up processes, eliminated lead from our production and more. Our team even got hands-on by volunteering at Alibang Ecological Farm to remove invasive species and protect the biodiversity of this beautiful wetland on Taiwan's northern coast.
We’ve made changes around the office too, like switching to energy-saving LED lights, making good use of the outdoor gardening space at our building, and creating sustainable packaging that’s both practical and cost-effective. Plus, we support local farmers when sourcing gifts and invest in local eco-friendly companies like Package Plus.

Animal Welfare Partnership
When Faith for Animals (相信動物協會) needed reliable transportation for their TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) operations, we donated a refrigerated van to help. TNR work often means long drives into Taiwan's mountain regions, transporting nervous or injured stray dogs through winding roads and changing temperatures.
The driver shared something that stayed with us: even the most anxious strays seem to relax inside the climate-controlled cages. The cool, quiet environment helps reduce stress during transport and significantly lowers the risk of heatstroke on hot days.
Education & Youth Development
Our partnership with Fu-Chi Family Charity Association (福氣家族公益協會) has grown beyond monthly donations. We now support their "Diverse Learning" programs, which create real-world opportunities for disadvantaged youth in Yilan.
One program stands out: last summer, a group of students ran their own stall at Dongmen Night Market. At 16 years old, many were experiencing their first business lesson—learning to price products, interact with customers, and feel the thrill of making their first sale.
It's one piece of a larger effort. Fuqi Family also provides tutoring classes, skills workshops, and scholarships for local students. These programs help young people discover what they're capable of and build confidence that extends far beyond the classroom..
