Continental
80 x 80mm
Continental Europe commonly adopts a modular system built around 80mm × 80mm gang frames. This format is widely used across countries like Germany, France, Italy, and other parts of mainland Europe. The finish is typically high-gloss, and shuttered data ports are standard—reflecting the design consistency of well-established brands such as Legrand, Schneider, and Gira. In some cases, frames may be equipped with grounding brackets to address EMI concerns.
These systems are available in two main styles:
Built-in faceplates designed to directly accommodate data modules
Gang frames that pair with interchangeable Sub Inserts (SIPs) based on a 45mm × 45mm internal spacing
