UK Type
86 x 86mm
The 86mm x 86mm faceplate format is widely used in both residential and commercial installations throughout the U.K., as well as in regions like India, Hong Kong, Singapore, the UAE, and others where British-standard electrical systems are commonly adopted. It follows the standard 60.3mm screw-hole center spacing, making it fully compatible with most BS-style back boxes and interchangeable with standard electrical switch or socket frames in these areas.
HCI’s U.K.-type faceplates are available in two main styles. One is a built-in version specifically designed for data keystone jacks. The other is a modular system that pairs a gang frame with various Sub Inserts (SIPs) for video, voice, copper, or fiber data modules—giving you the flexibility to mix and match based on your installation needs.
Standard Faceplate
These built-in faceplates are designed to house up to four keystone jacks and come standard with integrated shutters. The default version supports keystone jacks with a latch height of 19.20mm, while optional variants are available for 20.05mm latch height—intended specifically for compatibility with legacy AMP NETCONNECT (now part of CommScope) keystone jacks, which featured latch heights between 20.05mm and 20.20mm. Additionally, certain Chinese and Southeast Asian OEMs have developed jacks with similarly oversized latch designs, which these optional versions can also accommodate.
Frame with Interchangeable SIPs
Gang frames are available in the standard U.K. single-gang size (86mm x 86mm), accommodating two SIPs, and double-gang size (146mm x 86mm), accommodating four SIPs. Depending on how and where they are installed—such as trunking systems or wall-mount boxes—they are offered in two common internal module formats:
- Euromod (50mm x 50mm inner spacing)
- LJ6c (37.5mm x 50mm inner spacing)
Both styles feature a glossy surface finish, and you can choose from chamfered, filleted, or sharp-edged designs to match the surrounding decor or other electrical faceplates in the environment.
