The SMB1B Series Surface Mount Box stands out for its modular design, offering virtually unlimited expansion. Each unit starts as a standalone 1-port box. On the left side, it includes a built-in centerpiece with a slide-and-lock mechanism, allowing additional SMB1B units to be interlocked side by side. This makes it easy to expand your setup by adding more network drops in the future - no need to replace the entire box.

This level of flexibility is a major upgrade over traditional fixed-port surface mount boxes, which limit you to pre-set configurations like 2-, 4-, or 6-port options.

For distributors, it's also a big win—you no longer need to stock multiple fixed-port models. One SKU covers everything, made possible by the SMB1B’s modular, chainable design.

The large recessed area is designed for station ID labels, and color-coded icons are included to easily distinguish between data and voice connections. Each surface mount box comes with two self-tapping screws for secure installation. For non-permanent setups, adhesive backing is also included for a clean, tool-free mount.
