The outer coated boots are made for reducing the cable strain when using solid cables with a diameter of approximately 6.0+-0.5mm.

The boot is made of PVC, which elastically guards the cable and plug connection.

The interdigit cone tail protects against improper bending that might result in signal reflections and intermittence of networks.
