Feed-Through Patch Panels make port interconnections effortless with a simple Plug-and-Play design—just connect patch cords at both ends without the need for tedious IDC punching. This approach significantly reduces the effort needed to manage IP connections between the network equipment and the patch panel installed at the starting point of the horizontal cable.

However, this convenience comes with a tradeoff: “Feed-Thru” refers to having RJ-45 connections on both ends. And we all know that the exact point where a plug mates with RJ-45 contacts is both where and when impedance mismatches are most prone to happen. In today’s market, 48-port Ethernet switches are the most commonly used, whether for Gigabit Ethernet or 10G Ethernet. Twice the Shielding, Twice the Confidence
The 12-in-1 cassette features a robust construction with Zamac 3 front and back covers, securely housing each individual coupler. Each coupler is fully enclosed in a brass-shielded design that wraps around the PCBA, eliminating any physical gaps that could lead to electromagnetic emissions. This double-shielded architecture ensures superior protection against external noises, safeguarding the balanced circuit and minimizing the risk of impedance mismatch.

HCI’s SP48KMCAS is among the few certified for IEEE 802.3bt PoE Type 4, supporting up to 90W power delivery. Built to last, it complies with IEC 60512-99-002 standards for reliable mating durability, supporting 55V and 2.0 amps per conductor to deliver PoE Type 4 power without compromise.
Patented PCBA Inside
The exceptional performance of the SP482KMCAS lies in its patented PCBA. Noise cancellation within the compact coupler is no easy feat, especially with RJ-45 connections at both ends. These connections double the risk of severe electromagnetic coupling, intensifying Near End Crosstalk (NEXT) whenever a plug mates with the jacks. Overcoming this challenge was achieved through U.S. Patent 9391405 B1, which ensures NEXT stays under control.
